Description
From the top of the pass on the main road, the stone nature trail leads you to the summit of the Geschriebenstein (884 m) with its viewing platform. It also forms the border between Austria and Hungary. With a valid passport or identity card, you can cross the border here without hindrance. From the Geschriebenstein (Irottkö) you hike downhill to the Hörmann-forrás (Hörmann spring) and then to the Steirerhäusern. From here you continue along forest paths and after a final, short ascent you come to the Óház-tető ruins with their lookout tower. Now it is not far to the beautiful town of Kőszeg, where the main alpannonia® trail leads past the nature conservation center to the town center. Here you reach the eastern end/beginning of the alpannonia® trail.
