Wachau-Nibelungengau-Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German):
Where the southern Waldviertel gently slopes down toward the Danube, offering remarkable views of the Danube Valley, lies the market town of Artstetten-Pöbring, situated at an elevation of approximately 390 meters above sea level along the Austrian Way of St. James. Highlights include the castle museum and the crypt of the heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg. The forested area is ideal for hiking. For lodging, you can choose from cozy rooms in inns and farmsteads.
