"Every step feels good." The 1,000-Step Trail begins at the municipal office. The trail continues toward the Musikheim, then along the castle park on the Way of St. James, offering a magnificent view of the Danube Valley. At the fork in the trail, turn south until you reach the Trinity Column; here, keep left and walk back to the town center along Franz-Ferdinand-Straße.
Parking is available at the Musikheim or at Artstetten Castle.
Artstetten-Pöbring is accessible via the A1 Westautobahn; take the Pöchlarn exit. At the exit, take the first exit at the roundabout, then turn left after about 1 km and cross the Danube Bridge. Keep left; Wachaustraße (B3) leads to Klein-Pöchlarn. Once in town, turn toward Artstetten (about 3 km).
Coming from Grein or Krems, take Wachauerstraße (B3) to Klein-Pöchlarn; once in town, turn toward Artstetten (about 3 km).
Take the Westbahn to the Pöchlarn train station— check the schedule. From the station, take the bus to Artstetten— check the schedule.
