Aspang-Markt theme route

Panoramic walk with 28 adventure stations from the center of Aspang through the historic parks and along the Sterzlweg to the outdoor pool and back.

From the main square via Rösslerpark to the pond and along Sterzlweg to the outdoor pool - back through Badeau to the starting point

Route description From the main square, downhill westward through the narrow Parkgasse past the tennis courts to the Pestingbach in Rösslerpark. A short detour north through the old avenue along the creek to the cemetery and back again over the footbridge to the pond. After a round of the pond, leave the facility southwest towards Zöbern. Cross Zöbernstrasse and ascend gently to Sterzlweg, which leads along the slope to the Murtalbach viaduct and the outdoor swimming pool. Return via Murtalgasse to Rösslerpark and the main square.

Getting there From A2 exit Edlitz/Aspang (Exit 69) onto B54 Wechselbundesstraße, follow signs to Aspang am Wechsel. At the roundabout, turn towards the town center and main square
Public transport To Aspang from Wiener Neustadt station in about 30 minutes by regularly running regional trains. The main square (start of this route) is about a 15-minute walk from Aspang station (low traffic via Lagerhaus, Pergenpromenade, Schlossparkstraße and Kirchenplatz to the main square)
Editor’s tip From the old quarry at Sterzlweg, you can reach the viewing platform on Vogelsangweg via steep, well-maintained paths: magnificent views over Aspang and into the Pittental.
