- safety instructions Before every ride check the functionality of brakes, tires, and suspension fork/damper. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed and adapt the route choice to the riding skills of the group and the surface. The Fair Play rules must always be observed. Single/shared trails as well as built trails in trail parks and trail centers often have stones, roots, steep sections, steps, and sharp bends that require certain riding skills. When in doubt, simply dismount and push the bike.
- Equipment A safe and functional mountain bike is essential for all routes. Helmet and gloves protect in falls and can be supplemented by knee and elbow protectors on single/shared trails. A modern mountain bike with disc brakes and sufficient tire tread is recommended. For single and shared trails from the red difficulty level, a full-suspension bike with modern geometry is recommended. Tools, tire levers, pump and spare tube help in case of a breakdown. Carry enough supplies (drinks and food) as well as a mobile phone and wind/rain jacket.
- Route description We ride uphill, past the monastery into Franz-Rumpler-Straße. Via Jahnstraße and Lange Gasse, it goes steeply uphill through vineyard areas. Staying on the same forest road, it goes past Haschhof towards Windischhütte. At km 10, we turn left towards Weidling. For a break, the Windischhütte a few meters away on the right is recommended. After about 700 m, we turn right and follow the forest road towards Weidling where we continue straight and return via Löbichgasse.Surface: Asphalt 34%, Gravel 57%, Forest/Meadow 9%
