Baden bei Wien – Beethoven Spazierweg nach Gumpoldskirchen

We explore the Vienna Woods in the footsteps of nature lover Ludwig van Beethoven. On the walk we see a lot of the typical nature of the Vienna Woods. The wine taverns in the famous wine village of Gumpoldskirchen are ideal for an enjoyable

rest. On the Wasserleitungsweg, we experience the gentle wine landscape of the Thermenregion and towards the end of the tour there are magnificent views of the spa town of Baden.

Fun facts:

• Ludwig van Beethoven was a great hiker who often covered many kilometers in the Vienna Woods. The route follows one of his original hiking trails.
• Along the way, there are some wonderful views of the Thermenregion wine landscape and the Vienna Basin as well as the wine village of Gumpoldskirchen and the spa town of Baden (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
