Description

From the opera to the countryside: the Badner Bahn has been running between Vienna city center and the Lower Austrian rose city of Baden for over 130 years.

 

The Badner Bahn offers a particularly comfortable connection from the Vienna Opera to Baden over a distance of around 27 kilometers. The local railroad - which was opened in the 1880s and has been regularly extended and modernized since then - first runs via important stations in Vienna, such as Matzleinsdorfer Platz and Meidling. Via the shopping mecca of Shopping City Süd in Vösendorf, the journey continues in comfort to the famous city of roses.
