The entrance to the southern Waldviertel - the market town of Leiben - is playfully romantic. The beautifully restored Leiben Castle is a visible landmark. It dates back to the 11th century and is a popular excursion destination. In addition to the agricultural engineering museum and the fixed points of our exhibitions (Easter exhibition and Hobby Art Advent), balls, private weddings and birthday parties as well as the autumn rally are also on the event program. Other sights and leisure facilities: the Weitenegg ruins, the Galgenkreuz, the parish church in Lehen, the St. Corona church in Leiben and the Weitenegg leisure center. A special tip is the high plateau above Ebersdorf with a magnificent view of the Lehen church, Henzing, Melk Abbey, the Danube valley and the Alpine foothills, which is located along the Marterlweg Tour 91.
