Description
From Scheibbs to the Blassenstein via the Burgerhof-Rainstein goods road (Blassensteinstraße -> asphalt) to the Blassenstein parking lot (from there you can walk to the Urlingerwarte on the Blassenstein, walking time approx. 15 minutes, breathtaking views of Scheibbs and Ötscher, as far as the Waldviertel and Gesäuse / Attention: Mountain bikes are not allowed! Bike racks available at the parking lot) - return via Staudenweg (forest path) or Blassenstein single trail.

- Route description From the starting point of the route at the overview board by the train station parking lot, continue towards the station, pass it straight ahead and continue along Lastenstraße. After a left and right turn, you reach Erlafpromenade – turn left over the Töpperbrücke – then left again into Gamingerstraße – then right into Hauptstraße (one-way) and turn right uphill into Kartäusergasse to Rathausplatz – past the parish church and the castle continue uphill through the city gate – straight ahead on Burgerhofstraße – past the shooting range – over Blassensteinstraße (asphalt) to the Blassenstein parking lot (possibility of a hike of approx. 15 minutes to the summit with the Urlingerwarte lookout) – from there back into the valley via a forest path (Staudenweg) or the Blassenstein singletrail (S2 - medium).
- Parking There are long-term parking spaces at the station. In the town center, short-term parking zone (2 hours with parking meter).
- Getting there A1 to Ybbs exit, on B25 via Wieselburg and Purgstall to Scheibbs (exit Scheibbs Mitte). At the roundabout, first exit right towards the station. There are long-term parking spaces at the station. In the town center, short-term parking zone (2 hours with parking meter).
