Description
Sights along the route: Himmelsleiter – the 20 m high viewing tower promises a great view over the beautiful bog landscape. The Prügelsteg leads visitors a short way into the bog on wooden stakes, where you can discover the fascinating plant and animal life especially well. You can get close to the bog in the Moortretbecken – said to work miracles on tired feet...

- Route description This circular hike requires some endurance, but it's worth it: the starting point is the parking lot of UnterWasserReich. From there, the path winds through the raised bog to Langschwarza. Passing the forest tavern and the chapel St. Johann im Walde, you reach Neuhöf, pass the "House of Horses," go on to Ehrenhöbarten and the disused quarry "Brombühel," returning to Schrems to the starting point.
