The trail starts at 860 m above sea level and descends gently through a forest and across meadows toward Eibelhof. You’ll then hike about 700 m uphill toward Scheib (Jackwerth Inn) and then about 2 km on a flat, paved path back to Braunegg (Mayer Inn – Liebner Inn). 200 m before Braunegg is the most scenic spot (Wiegenhalde/“Wiegenhalt”) with a view of the Alps.

Pöchlarn route: Cross the Danube bridge toward Wachau; Weitenegg; toward Weiten; Weiten; Am Schuß (turn right); Heiligenblut; Feistritz; Raxendorf (Pöchlarn–Raxendorf 25 km)
