Description
The easy circular trail first leads along the main road, or via a shortcut through the forest, through Breitenstein. There is an information board at the Hauptstraße/Semmeringstraße junction. On Kalte Rinne Straße, you pass the Blunzenwirt inn, which invites you to stop for a bite to eat. Continue along the Semmering Railway under the mystical rocks of the rear Adlitzgraben and enjoy the view of the Krausel-Klausen Viaduct and the Polleres Wand with the Kalte Rinne Viaduct. From there, you can also take a short detour to the Ghega Museum. The next highlight on the route is the"Falkensteiner Höhle" cave with its overhanging cliffs. Right next to it is the Gaiskirchlein church. Here you have reached the highest point of the hike at an altitude of around 1000 meters and return to Breitenstein via Orthof.
