Hiking tour Starting from Church Square
Path no. 94
Path no. 94
The village and the scattered settlements that make the municipal area so extensive are located on the southern edge of the Weinsberg Forest in the upper Little Yspertal. Worth seeing: memorial made of Waldviertel granite in front of the church, passion plays, archery course, Frasl honey house, fishing opportunities, fish nature trail, fairytale forest and hammer mill (Primus Hader).
From the church square, turn right immediately after the Buchinger Inn toward the fish ponds, passing the Eichhornhof and Lehner on your way into the Hochwald, then follow the forest path past a wayside shrine until you reach the state highway. After about 1 km, turn right onto the forest road. Hike through the Hochwald until you reach the Burgsteinmauer. The strenuous climb, over rough and rocky terrain, is rewarded with a magnificent view. The return route takes you along the forest road to the state highway, and from there back along the same path.
There is plenty of (free) parking available at the church. This is also where the hiking trails begin.
Vienna – Take the A1 to the Ybbs/Wieselburg exit – Take the B25 Erlauftal highway to Persenbeug – From there, take the B36 to Yspertal – Turn left here and continue to Dorfstetten
, Linz – Take the A7 to Unterweitersdorf – here, switch to the B124 and continue to Königswiesen – in Königswiesen, take the B119a to Linden – From there, take the B119 and continue to the intersection with the L171 – cross the L171 and take the L7283 to Dorfstetten.
