A visit to the beautiful, late Gothic fortified church in Edlitz and the interesting and informative introductory documentation of the fortified church route is a must. The "Bucklige Welt" fortified church route starts in Edlitz and leads past the beautiful fortified churches of Krumbach, Hochneukirchen, Bad Schönau, Kirchschlag, Lichtenegg, Hollenthon, Wiesmath, Hochwolkersdorf, Bromberg, Lanzenkirchen and Katzelsdorf. Part of the circular route to Schauerberg leads along the Wehrkirchenstraße. Via Schauerberg, you approach Thomasberg, where the route partly overlaps with the Wehrkirchenstraße cycle path.
The hiking route initially leads from the town center along the B55 to the Wieden - Amlos crossroads, where it continues along the Bindergraben to the Schafferhof and then back along the markings to the starting point in Edlitz.
