A short hike through Kirchberg an der Pielach. Highlights of this pleasure hike are the Skywalk viewing platform and of course the numerous cornelian cherry bushes (cornelian cherry) along the way, which also give the Pielach valley the name "Dirndltal".

Description
During the walk through the town, you can get to know the "Cornelian Cherry and Pleasure Route" of the Kirchberg cornelian cherry route.
Starting at the train station, there is valuable information about the history of the Mariazellerbahn, the Cornelian Cherry Oasis and the Kirchberg Castle, the anniversary fountain, St. Nepomuk, the fortifications and floods in the town, stations of the cross in Kirchengasse, the old school, and the parish church.
- Route description The start is in the castle park in Kirchberg. Then it goes over the Pielach through the town, past the church to the Skywalk. From the Skywalk you have a magnificent view over Kirchberg an der Pielach.Then it continues through the row of cornelian cherry bushes, straight ahead to the Pielach. Along the Pielach, we hike back alongside numerous cornelian cherry bushes to the starting point.The hike itself lasts about 30 minutes - but we recommend planning around 1.5 hours here to fully enjoy the nature.
