Over the Kellerberg and into the vineyards, beautiful nature is waiting to be discovered by you. A breathtaking view over the Weinviertel in all its splendor awaits you when you climb up the Wartbergwarte.
A hiking trail over our Kellerberg out through the vineyards and up to the Wartbergwarte - an idyllic sea of impressions of our beautiful landscape is guaranteed. The trail then continues to the Herbertsbrunngraben, which you then follow back towards Großkrut. The hiking trail leads along the paths that characterize our region and leaves lasting impressions at any time of year.
An easy hike through wine cellar lanes, vineyards, and farmland.
Sturdy footwear
From the Galik Inn, you begin the hike toward Kellerberg. From Kellerberg, the trail continues along “dirt roads” to the Wartbergwarte. You then return to Großkrut via the Herbertsbrunngraben.
Parking available near the starting point (Gasthof zum Galik)
Take the A5 (Großkrut exit) to the starting point, “Gasthof zum Galik” (Poysdorferstraße 5)
Be sure to pack your camera and a snack. You’ll definitely want to capture the stunning view that awaits you at the Wartbergwarte. A rest area invites you to linger and enjoy the moment.
You can round off the tour perfectly at the Kruta Lounge or at the Gasthof zum Galik.
