Twelve ingenious interactive stations await us. At each station, there are exciting things to discover about Langenlebarn’s past or present, culture, or nature. Together with Tropfi and the other water spirits from the Danube, you can guess, spin, climb, and play.

Stations:

1. Welcome to the Adventure Trail
The information board at the start of the trail shows us where each station is located, so we know where we’re headed.

2. Spinning the Bottle
Langenlebarn below the Danube’s water level. Let’s climb up onto the levee and see how high the Danube is. Which parts of Langenlebarn would be underwater without the levee? As we spin the bottle, we’ll learn even more about Langenlebarn.

3. Fish of the Danube
Colorful life beneath the waves. Whether in the Danube or in the village pond in Langenlebarn, people have been fishing here for as long as anyone can remember. Do we know which fish live in the Danube?

4. Danube Outflow
Let’s turn on the faucet and drain the water from the Danube.

5. Observation Tower
Chirping, whistling, croaking, twittering! Every bird sings differently. What’s the hooded crow holding in its beak? Where does the mallard have its nest? Can the little woodpeckers fly yet? If you stay very quiet and have a little patience, you can spot lots of things from the observation tower.

6. Do You Recognize the Animal Tracks?
Who’s sneaking through the bushes? The animals in the floodplain forest are shy and not easy to spot. But they’re still there, leaving their tracks in the damp soil. Do we know which paw print belongs to which animal?

7. What Grows in the Willow Jungle?
The floodplain is a water forest. The soil is rich in nutrients, and water is abundant. As a result, the plants here grow particularly wild and lush.

8. The Danube—The Lifeblood of the Economy
The Danube has always been important to Langenlebarn, and it always will be. But how we use it has changed significantly over time.

9. A Look Back in Time
Here we see how Langenlebarn has changed over time.

10. Mystical Langenlebarn
A place full of history and stories. Take a journey through its eventful past. Each of the 6 images on the board is accompanied by a short story to read.

11. Tree Diversity
Can you identify them all correctly? Let’s get started!

12. Under the Sign of the Wolf
Come on, let’s play! Do you know “Thunder-Weather-Lightning” and “1-2-3, Ready, Set, Go”? Off to the playground!

- From Vienna via the A22 Danube River Expressway and then continue on the highway toward Tulln, or via Riederberg on the B1
- From Krems via the Krems Expressway S5
- From the north via the B 19 or the Krems Expressway S5
- From the south via the A21 Outer Ring Highway, Altlengbach exit
- From the west via the A1 West Highway, then take the S5 Expressway at the St. Pölten interchange
