Description

Along the Danube-Veltliner wine cycle route, you can explore the idyllic landscape outside Vienna with views of picturesque wine cellar lanes, numerous vineyards and tasty wine taverns. The circular route leads from Langenzersdorf via Bisamberg, Korneuburg, Leobendorf, Harmannsdorf, Manhartsbrunn, Enzersfeld im Weinviertel, Hagenbrunn and Stammersdorf back to Langenzersdorf. The route was named after the Donau-Veltliner grape variety. This is a new variety and a fungus-resistant grape and white wine variety. The variety is a cross between Grüne Veltliner and Seyval Blanc. The wine is fruity when young and very similar to Grüne Veltliner when ripe.
