Durch den Purkersdorfer Naturpark

We start at the nature park entrance at the Purkersdorf P+R, cross the bridge, and arrive at the Kellerwiese. At first, we follow the signs for the Buchenweg trail, exploring the Georgenberg along the way. We pass the Blätterdach-Lichtblick and then follow the Spechtweg to the Nature Park Center. Here, we have the opportunity to learn more about the lives of Vienna Woods farmers 100 years ago at the Wienerwaldhaus (self-service museum), delve into the topic of forests and wood at the adjacent wood laboratory, or observe wildlife—such as red deer, roe deer, and wild boars up close before taking the opportunity to take a break or stop for a meal at the adjacent Wienerwald inn “Johannesbär.” After a leisurely and delicious break, we continue on our way. We walk back along the nature trail toward the starting point. Along the way, we’ll encounter several interactive stations that offer interesting insights into this nature park.
