Make sure when choosing your route that it matches your fitness level. Check whether the restaurants you want to visit along the way are open. Pack your charged mobile phone and map material in your backpack. For cross-border routes, always carry a passport or identity card.

Route characteristics: 20% asphalt, 80% field and hiking trail

Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, map material, if necessary telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snacks, muesli bars, fruit, water).

Starting from Gasthaus Ambrozy, the state road leads steeply uphill towards Kirchberg am Walde to Hotel Leonardo. In front of the hotel there is a parking lot. From there, you follow the marking to the right through the forest to the next crossroads. There you reach the Elexenbach. Turn left before the bridge. You pass a small pond, through a piece of forest to the field junction Ullrichs – Groß-Höbarten. From there you hike to Groß-Höbarten, passing an old abandoned clay brick kiln. At the junction with the state road Ullrichs-Waldenstein, turn right to Groß-Höbarten and there before the creek bridge turn right again until the junction of the connecting path Groß-Höbarten – Nondorf.

Now go right along the Elexenbach towards Nondorf. On the left side you see a former mill, further along the creek the waste disposal specialist company Rammel (formerly mill and hammer forge), go past there into the village. At the first intersection in the village, walk left past Gasthaus Pöhn along the village street to the junction with Albrechtser Straße and after about 50 m immediately right to Gartenweg (Wallfahrerweg). Then go left through the Waldbühel to Sportplatzgasse, then right, past the sports field (SCU K.Nondorf) to the bus stop at the state road. There turn sharply right into Dorfstraße to Angerweg. Follow Angerweg, pass the fire station and after a sharp left turn back to the starting point.
