When choosing your route, make sure it’s appropriate for your fitness level. Check to see if the restaurants and cafes you plan to visit along the way are open. Pack your fully charged cell phone and maps in your backpack. For cross-border trips, please always carry a passport or ID card with you.
Sturdy shoes, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, maps, trekking poles if needed, first-aid kit (blister bandages), and plenty of food (snacks, granola bars, fruit, water).
On the loop trail along the lake, hikers learn interesting facts about honeybees and their relatives. The highlight of the interactive station is the demonstration apiary, which can be toured as part of a guided tour.
The trail continues to a plant maze and the “Über d’Kipp-Blick” viewing platform, where you’ll then walk back to the recreation center along a causeway between the large and small lakes. Children especially enjoy the “Bee Flight” station. The loop trail is completely flat and recommended for all ages. You can sample and purchase products.
