Etzmannsdorf-Rundweg

Cross the Kamp Bridge into the Thunau district and turn right onto Taborgasse about 100 meters after the bridge. From there, follow the trail markers through the forest on Taborberg. After crossing a stream, a short, steep climb leads to a spot where the forest opens up, revealing a beautiful clearing. Shortly afterward, you’ll find yourself on a scenic plateau that takes you all the way to Etzmannsdorf (399 m). Before reaching Etzmannsdorf, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the Horner Basin and toward Maria Dreieichen. The many wayside shrines along the trail also add variety, as this section follows the Marterlweg trail. In Etzmannsdorf, you can take a break at the Gasthaus Nußbaum. From there, the trail descends to Stallegg. A small stream accompanies you on the way, its murmur providing a soothing sound. In Stallegg, turn right and hike along a beautiful path on the right bank of the Kamp, where you can spot various wild animals from time to time. After Kamegg, you’ll walk back toward the Gars-Thunau train station between the railroad tracks and a steep rock face, and from there, turn left over the bridge to return to Gars.
