Frankenfels - Massing - Haag - Höllgraben - Laubenbachmühle - Frankenfels
Frankenfels - Massing - Haag - Höllgraben - Laubenbachmühle - Frankenfels
Start and finish is in the village center at the information board, from there through the village and an asphalt road, later partly also a meadow path, up to the Frankenfelsberg. A wonderful view of the Ötscher and the foothills of the Alps awaits you at the top. The route continues via Höllgraben to Laubenbachmühle (connection point to the Mariazell railroad line!!) where a cozy bistro at the station invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
Via the Perna mountain farm you reach the Boding where the game reserve at the Lichtensteg inn invites you to visit. This is followed by the Fischbachgraben and the Grassermühle and past the Hofegger alpine farm, where you can enjoy excellent home cooking. The last section is downhill back to Frankenfels, where the tour ends in the town center.
Please note the winter closure of this and all other MTB trails in the Mostviertel from November 1st to April 14th.
