Our hiking guides will meet you at 2:00 p.m. at the base station of the Schneeberg railway at the tourism counter. At 2:30 p.m., the Schneeberg railway departs from Puchberg station and takes you in 45 minutes to the Hochschneeberg mountain station. After enjoying the beautiful views towards Lake Neusiedl, we will leisurely hike over the Ochsenboden to the Fischerhütte. At the Fischerhütte there is a delicious dinner. As the moon rises, we hike to the summit cross and let ourselves be captivated by the mystical atmosphere of the full moon. Nowhere in eastern Austria are you closer to the sky and the moon than at this place. The next morning, we experience the sunrise from the terrace of the Fischerhütte. After a hearty breakfast, we descend over the Schneeberg plateau along the cog railway hiking trail to Puchberg station. Please pay attention to the information on altitude meters, distance, and walking time when planning your hike so that the route remains a pleasant experience for the whole family.
