Our hiking guides await you at 14:00 at the valley station of the Schneebergbahn at the tourist information desk. At 14:30, the Schneebergbahn leaves from Puchberg station and takes you to the Hochschneeberg mountain station in 45 minutes. After enjoying the wonderful views towards Lake Neusiedl, we hike leisurely over the Ochsenboden to the Fischerhütte, where we enjoy a delicious dinner. As the moon rises, we hike to the summit cross and are captivated by the mystical atmosphere of the full moon. Nowhere else in eastern Austria are you closer to the sky and the moon than in this place. The next morning, we watch the sunrise from the terrace of the fisherman's hut. After a hearty breakfast, we descend via the Schneeberg plateau along the cog railway hiking trail to Puchberg station. - Route description With the Schneeberg railway in 45 minutes to Hochschneeberg 1,800 m above sea level. The hike leads past the Damböckhaus, over the Ochsenboden to the Fischerhütte.
