Route description From the town center we follow the asphalt road into the Obertal. Afterthe house "Waldblick" we turn left onto the "Wiener Weger'l"and follow the forest path along the Schwarzenbachl (nicer than the narrow asphalt road). After the Obertal settlement,we go left up to the "Krickl Marterl", then we go right up the gravel road.Before the property "Vorderleiten" we turn left along the forest path through the property "Oberhof". We cross theasphalt road and follow the meadow path toward "Hans'n Hütte".At the Marterl we take the gravel road to the "Leiten Kreuz". From thereit goes continuously uphill through the forest to the Geißenberg Alm.The return route can be taken above the property "Ober Fuchsriegel"either right over the asphalt road past the property "Kowald"or you can take the nicer way back through the Obertal.
Parking Parking spaces in the town center
Getting there On the B39 towards Mariazell, after the Schönau inn (Frankenfels), turn left towards "Schwarzenbach/Türnitz" and follow the road to Schwarzenbach.
Public transport Take the Mariazellerbahn to the Schwarzenbach stop. In the summer months, a taxi service can be booked by telephone in advance (Mob.: 0664 103 30 15) for transport from the stop to the town center.
