The idyllic municipality of Furth an der Triesting in the district of Baden is the largest municipality in the Triesting Valley, covering an area of 64 square kilometers. Surrounded by a picture-book landscape of meadows, forests and mountains, several streams flow together in Furth and flow into the Triesting at the northernmost edge of the municipality. The main springs of the water supply association of the Triestingtal and Südbahn municipalities are located here, as is the first one-thousand-meter peak just outside Vienna: the Hocheck. Hikers and those seeking relaxation will find ideal conditions in Furth for short breaks and excursions away from the hustle and bustle with wonderful routes into the Gutenstein Alps and Lower Austrian Pre-Alps. This is why countless hiking trails, including the historic Viennese pilgrimage route, lead through the beautiful municipality. In recent years, several farms in Furth have decided to sell their own products directly on the farm, resulting in the family-friendly farm store pleasure hike from farm store to farm store.

Description
The first farm store on our hike is located right in the center of Furth. The Lechner Kirchenkrenn family sells under the brand name MagMan(Magdalena+Manfred) brand, selling home-grown produce from their chickens, cattle and pigs, as well as delicacies from the garden. After a short stretch of the Viennese pilgrims' path, you reach the main road at the striking limestone rock and shortly after the Furthnerwirt inn, the beautiful promenade path, always along the Further stream, leads to the next farm store of the Lechner-Schaupp family. Schauppi the KUH'le Eis is famous for its homemade ice cream and yoghurt, as well as various other delicacies. Back along the Promenadenweg and a short stretch along the main road, you reach the striking limestone rock again. Turn left here and after a short distance turn left again over the beautiful bridge of the village youth into the forest. From there, you walk over a gentle hill to the next stream in Ebeltal. Along the main road, past the Hubertus Chapel, you will find the farm store in the Schaupp family's large chicken coop called "Ebeltal delicacies". Tasty free-range eggs, but also homemade egg liqueur, homemade tractor noodles and many other products are available for sale here. A short distance back along the road, you will come to the gravel road to the Amöd farm from the sign "Ebeltal 2". The sight of horses, goats and chickens will delight children in particular. From there, you return to the valley via field paths and meadows.

- Route description The starting point of the family-friendly farm shop enjoyment route is the parking lot in Furth, which is located immediately after the town center on the right side. Crossing the state road and walking past the parish hall and church, the first farm shop is already visible on the right. After crossing the Further Bach, you can already admire the chickens and then the cows of the Lechner-Kirchenkrenn family. The farm shop is directly located on the farm, through the wooden fence on the right side after the house entrance. The assortment is extensive and the farm shop is very lovingly set up. In summer, there is 'refreshing drinking yogurt' as well as various delicacies from the farm’s own chickens, cattle, and pigs, as well as garden products from nature, from spreads over syrups to seasonally made pestos. It is recommended to shop only at the end of the circular hike.Strengthened by a yogurt, take a short way back, turn right at the church, walk past the kindergarten and gymnasium, and with a really great playground on the left-hand side, continue straight to the Vienna Pilgrimage Trail. Keep right towards Schromenau along the stream and you will see some nice small houses and splendid gardens, until you reach a beautiful wooden bridge built by the country youth.First, go straight ahead towards Schromenau until you reach the striking rock. Then walk a bit on the federal road, past the Furthnerwirt, and about 100 meters after the left curve, turn left into a small settlement (sign Vienna Pilgrimage Trail). Then a short stretch straight ahead and then right over a bridge follow the wooden sign promenade path.Along the stream you see a beautiful landscape with meadows, mountains, lots of cows, and the idyllic stream. Again and again a bench on the promenade invites you to rest, until you get back to a farm and the road.Turn left gently uphill past 'Land Drink' and after about 100 meters, you will find the next farm shop in a wooden hut. Schauppi THE COOL ICE CREAM spoils guests with homemade ice cream and many other delicacies from the farm. The farm shop is beautifully furnished and invites you to shop from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.After enjoying a delicious homemade ice cream, return to the promenade path to the main road. Turn right after about 100 meters to reach the inn Zum Furthnerwirt, which invites you to a longer break with a great children’s playground.Well refreshed, walk back along the main road to the rock and then left again into the small side street to the bridge of the country youth. Now cross the stream, past a beautiful farm, and a gravel road, slightly uphill, leads into the forest.After a few meters, the forest road leads to the right. However, always follow the white/yellow/white mark and continue straight in the forest. At the next clearing, there is a wonderful view of limestone rocks and pine forest on the left-hand side.After a right curve, further uphill, the forest path becomes a bit steeper, and you can occasionally already see the first traces of horses. At the next clearing on the left, cows graze. Walking along the forest, you pass a large farm.Here, some beehives come into view, and from now on, the trail leads downhill on a gravel road. From here you have a magnificent view of meadows and forests.At the next bend, go straight into the forest to the barrier. On the left through the gate, you can already see the next mark (white/yellow/white), and since the terrain becomes a bit rough, you can alternatively safely take the road (Seewald forest road) towards Ebeltal. But if you choose the forest path, be really careful here, as this part is the most adventurous. Sometimes wider, sometimes narrower and always downhill, you find markings again and again on trees and rocks until you reach the valley over a meadow through the gate, to a wooden bridge, onto the lightly trafficked road.Here you can cool down briefly in the Ebeltal stream before it goes along the road to the right heading west.From there, walk always along the stream until the road splits. Cross the stream on the left and follow the road to the Hubertus chapel in the forest, which offers a nice spot for a short break. Just after the chapel, back on the road, the next destination is in sight. The large building on the left is already the next farm shop Ebeltaler Delicacies in the huge chicken coop. At the next junction, turn left and shortly after, again left to the large chicken coop, you have reached the second goal. Behind it, the view of 'Himmelsreith' and the Gaisstein is beautiful.In the lovingly designed farm shop of the Schaupp family, you can buy homemade pasta – especially kid-friendly tractor noodles – and many other Ebeltaler Delicacies, foremost the free-range eggs, but also delicious egg liqueur.Walking a short distance back along the road brings you again to the junction at the bridge with the sign ‘Ebeltal 2’, where this time you take the gravel road left into the forest.A quarry appears on the right side, but you continue straight up the hill. At the next clearing, a few cows await along the path, then comes a chicken coop and a wood storage area. After a right curve, you enter the forest again and continue uphill. The first horses from the farm 'Amöd' of the Tisch family are already in sight, and after a short climb, the goat, chicken, and horse stables are reached.Walking through the farm, you come to a wayside shrine on the left and follow the signpost to Furth with the white/red/white markings downhill to the right again. Many meadows are fenced off for the horses, and the path is partly between two fenced paddocks.Afterwards, you reach a very large meadow, and the next mark is on a huge, ancient linden tree with a bench to rest. From here at the latest, you enjoy a beautiful view of the idyllic municipality of Furth and the Schönberg and can already hear the church bells ringing.Continuing downhill across the meadow, the next white/red/white mark is on a small wooden hut on the left. Shortly after that, on the left side, you will see the exit to the forest road at the sign ‘Gaissruck – Kieneck’.Follow the forest road downhill to the right towards Furth and you can already hear the clucking of the chickens from the first farm shop (MagMan). Passing the farm cross, walk down the paved road and turn left into the farm shop of the Lechner-Kirchenkrenn family.After the purchase, simply cross the bridge, pass the church and parish hall over the federal road, and finally return to the parking lot.
