From the municipal yard, head left across the Zierbach, then follow Storchenweg to the “Celtic Tree Circle.” Cross the municipal road to the “Tree Nature Trail” and hike to the state highway. Here, turn right. Then continue straight ahead over the hill, then along Luftstraße to Schröding. After 50 meters, turn left toward a row of pear trees and into the Haaberg Forest. Through the forest, you’ll reach the Haaberg farm road. Now walk 900 meters to the left to the Galgenkreuz and back again. The route then continues to the right to the elevated water tank, where you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the Alpine foothills and the Pre-Alps. Follow a dirt road downhill toward Abetzberg to the state highway, where you first turn right but then immediately left again after 200 meters. Follow the route along Neubrunnerstraße to the railroad path and then back to the municipal yard via Storchenweg.
