The Herb Cycle Route is a circular cycle route and part of the regional cycling concept of the 6-Senses Cycle Tours ("Smell") of the Thayaland Future Region.

After the start in Karlstein, you cycle steeply uphill to Münchreith and then on slightly hilly side roads to the Thayarunde cycle path, on which you cycle 10 km to the Peigarten descent. Through slightly hilly terrain to Kleinzwettl to the fortified church and the Kainz wine tavern. Continue via Gastern and Engelbrechts to the Stein des Skorpions, then to Kautzen, where the "Falke" cycling club is based. Via Groß Taxen to the border, where you will soon reach the pottery village of Maires/Maříž, then onto the Thayarunde cycle path in Slavonice. At Piesling/Písečné, turn off to the Jewish cemetery. Cemetery, then on to Riegers and Unterpertholz. From there along the Thaya to Weikertschlag. You return to Karlstein via Thuma.
