Description

The Tuttendörfl circular hiking trail connects three municipalities: Langenzersdorf - Korneuburg - Bisamberg, linked by the hamlet of Tuttendörfl on the Danube!

The Tuttendörfl circular hiking trail is one of 4 themed hikes that together form the Weinviertel Hiking Quartet. Along the way you will come across various stops such as Alte Au, Hechtenfang, Danube, Tuttendörfl, KW Korneuburg, Berndlbad, Donaugraben and many more.

Equipment Running shoes and weather protection are definitely sufficient on the flat Tuttendörfl circular hiking trail:
Route description At the underpass of Klosterneuburger Straße by Langenzersdorf train station, the green markings of the Tuttendörfl trail start. Together with red-white-red and blue markings, they guide along Klosterneuburger Straße towards the Danube and up to the next intersection with Jahnstraße. Turn right into Jahnstraße, passing a company site, garages, and the club hall to reach the beginning of Aupark. Walk through the remnant of the floodplain forest up to a bench and then turn left towards the nearby Au ridge. Here, you reach the edge of the Scheibenmais settlement. Walk a few meters right on Schneiderallee, then immediately left onto path 14, which leads along the edge of the settlement and open farmland. Encounter the Johann Masser path, which leads right to a high-voltage mast and the Scheibenmais sports facility.Left leads to An den Mühlen street, which brings you to the railway underpass. After the underpass, turn sharply left and slightly uphill to the platform of Bisamberg train station. Exit the platform at the upper end. Pass a parking lot, the path leads into Tuttenhofstraße. Turn left on the dam, cross the Donaugraben, and immediately turn left (signposted) onto the paved path Am Donaugraben. It descends to the railway and motorway underpass and the lower end of the Hechtenfang old arm of the Danube. On the right is the possibility to reach the Danube towpath somewhat shorter and closer to nature via the blue-marked Donaukraft hiking trail. However, the path may be overgrown depending on the season. Walk along Donaugraben to the Danube shore and towpath. The hiking trail now leads on the towpath along the Danube (on nice days and weekends, heavy cyclist traffic!) past the rowing club Pirat and after about 1.3 km reaches Tuttendörfl (self-check on the tree on the left next to the guesthouse entrance). The red-white-red and blue markings leave us towards Korneuburg train station. Pass a parking lot and houses of the Tuttendörfl settlement, walking on the slightly ascending street (caution!) over the A22 motorway and the Vienna - Stockerau railway line to the next street intersection. Attention! Do not follow the old path left, Güterweg Ungerbreite, past high-voltage masts towards the Korneuburg thermal power plant, but use the road towards B3 and turn left into Kraftwerkstraße before that. Pass the storage yard of Penner company, a hall, and two private houses, then finally turn right (self-check on wooden post) towards the traffic light crossing with the motorway exit and Korneuburg street/B3. Cross the road at traffic lights, turn left a few meters to Kaiserallee, and walk along Kaiserallee to the biohotel.Then turn right onto the street and walkway to Florian Berndl bath. Walk directly towards the bath, but shortly before it, turn left and walk along the outdoor pool area to Franz Weymann Gasse, the access road B3 - Bisamberg. Cross the street and continue on the pedestrian and bike path on the left to the nearby intersection. An asphalt footpath accompanies the access road to the Bisamberg depot with recreational facilities on the right. Climb up the dam of Donaugraben and cross the channel via a covered wooden bridge (self-check inside the bridge). Together with the yellow signs of the Bisamberg circular hiking trail, follow along Donaugraben to federal road B3. Turn left to the traffic light regulated intersection Bisamberg main street - B3. Cross the intersection and go left to the entrance of the Schießbühl nursery. Walk through between the nursery and a company site and with a short ascent left onto the dam crest of Donaugraben. The Bisamberg circular hiking trail stays on the dam crest, but we descend slightly, cross the farmland at Mitterweg, and arrive at the houses on Tuttenhofstraße. Turn left on Tuttenhofstraße towards the town center, cross Mühlweg, leave Mautgasse behind, and walk to the intersection Schulstraße/Anton Hanak Gasse. Turn right towards the railway underpass and back into Aupark. Along a fenced area, you reach the already walked path through Aupark. As at the beginning of the hike, come back into Jahnstraße and through Klosterneuburger Straße to the railway underpass in Langenzersdorf. Congratulations!
