Description
Behind the Almgasthof, a single trail winds steeply uphill in a southerly direction. You reach the mountain hut via several steps. Now follow the ridge path to the west and reach the summit of the Hochkar on undulating terrain. On the way back, follow the ascent path or turn left after a few hundred meters to the north onto the trail that leads you back to the Scheinecksattel and the starting point.
- Equipment Trailrunning shoes, possibly poles. Trailrunning backpack with provisions and first aid kit, rescue blanket, mobile phone, rain and sun protection.
- Parking fee required Hochkar valley station
- Getting there Göstling - Lassing - Hochkar alpine road, 9km, max. 17%
