Circular hike from the WellnessWelt through the idyllic Johannesbachklamm gorge with refreshments available at the gorge inn. The trail leads over footbridges, stairs and bridges to the Gerhartl refuge, then continues over the Eichberg with magnificent views of the village. Two variants (1a/1b) take you back to the WellnessWelt. Also possible from Willendorf or Rothengrub train stations.

Description
From the WellnessWelt, take the Andreas-Steig (easy forest trail) down to the Johannesbachklamm gorge. The gorge inn at the beginning of the gorge is the perfect place for a culinary break. The trail continues over steps and bridges through the gorge to the Gerhartl refuge. After a small climb, turn right and walk back over the Eichberg. Past the Berimoaster cross and the Hofeden - with a wonderful view of the village - you come back to the village on both paths (small gorge circuit 1a and large gorge circuit 1b) and uphill past the church to the WellnessWelt. The hike can also be started from Willendorf or Rothengrub train stations.
