Description
Surrounded by vineyards and loess terraces, the stage leads from the wine town of Rohrendorf back to the lively historic town of Krems - spectacular views included. Even the starting point of the tour exudes regional charm. The Rohrendorf wine cellar lane, famous throughout Austria, and the Lenz Moser winery invite you to linger and enjoy. The route continues through beautiful vineyards towards the destination, passing regional vineyards such as Rohrendorfer Gebling and Sandgrube. Accompanied by a fantastic view over the idyllic Danube valley, you soon reach the town of Krems. There, numerous wine taverns and winegrowers provide refreshments. Excursion destinations such as the Krems Art Mile with the spectacular Landesgalerie Niederösterreich are also available for all those hungry for discovery.

- Route description From the Rohrendorf center, we continue hiking through the well-known vineyards Gebling, Thallern, and Sandgrube. After passing under the B37, we march behind the cemetery, over Singleithenstraße, continue on Wiener Straße, and via Untere Landstraße into the center of Krems. Our stage destination is the Hoher Markt with its Hercules Fountain.

- Getting there Coming from Vienna: S5 – Jettsdorf interchange – direction Krems – exit Rohrendorf – turn right onto L7013 – after about 1 km onto LH45 – turn right onto Bahnstraße – turn right onto B35 – turn left onto LindobelgasseComing from Krems: about 4 km along B35 – turn left onto Lindobelgasse
