From the Melktal to the Danube.
The Melk river is your constant companion on this mostly flat and leisurely tour. Over a distance of 31 kilometers, it leads from Oberndorf an der Melk via Ruprechtshofen, Zelking and Matzleinsdorf to the town of Melk, where it joins the Danube cycle path at the Hubbrücke bridge and connects to the Pielachtalweg . This is also the end of the journey for the Melk River. Relaxing rest areas in Lunzen and at Möselsteg invite you to take a break from cycling. The panoramic view in Anzenberg and the bridge view at the Melk Danube power station are well worth seeing.
