Description
Easily accessible, starting point at Seebenstein railroad station, from where the route continues along the Bahnstraße. In summer, the outdoor pool provides the necessary cooling. The ruins on the Türkensturz are not only a highlight in themselves, but the view also captivates many hikers.
- Equipment Always take suitable maps with you. Wear sturdy shoes appropriate for the route, bring sun and rain protection as well as water and a small snack. Take your mobile phone with you and save the emergency numbers of the rescue services: Rescue 144 / Mountain Rescue 140
- Route description The route starts at Seebenstein train station and continues along Bahnstraße towards the town center until the right turn to the Parkbad is reached. About 100 meters are covered back into the town center on Neuen Schlossweg. The path gently ascends to Große Reit and continues straight ahead to Türkensturz. From the hut on Forstweg, the route continues eastwards to Sollgraben. After reaching a barrier, follow the path to the left. The route continues ascending to Sollgrabner Alm. At a distinctive crossroads, take the forest road to Bergschloss. Then follows the descent back to Seebenstein via Alten Schlossweg to Parkbad. A shortcut option would be to use Eselsteig instead of Alten Schlossweg.
