Oberndorf - Reichersau - Zimmerau - Hörmannsberg - Schachau - Oberndorf
As with the Alpine foothills tour, the route begins as far as Rotte Melk. After a downhill section to Weigstatt, you turn into the Maierhof estate road in the hollow. The tour continues to the left via the Edlach estate road. Then uphill to the next country road, where you are rewarded with a beautiful view, before turning left again along the Zimmerau estate road through the "Hameth-Holz" to the Sillhöhe. Here you cross the main road and follow the path towards Forst am Berg, which joins the Scheibenbach estate road. Keep right until you reach the junction to the left onto the Hörmannsberg estate road. The route then leads first through the forest, then in a long and fast descent, first asphalt, then gravel path, past meadows and fields, to Dörfl. Continue along a dirt track to the left bank of the Melk and then turn right to Burmühle. Here you cross the river bridge and immediately turn right again to return to the starting point.

- Route description The start of the route is, as with the Alpine Foreland route, the path to the hamlet of Melk. Here you cross the state road, continue along the path by the Melk river, cross the state road B29 at Staudenhof and go uphill on the road to Weissee and Perwarth. Then it goes a bit downhill to Weigstatt and on the right further to the state road. Here you go right again about 700 m on the road and turn into the Maierhof farm track in the hollow. The route continues left along the Edlach farm track, then right towards Galtbrunn and Reichersau to Diendorf. Then turn left where the route leads uphill to the next state road, where you are rewarded with a beautiful view, and then again left along the Zimmerau farm track through the "Hameth-Holz" to Sillhöhe. Here you cross the state road and follow the path towards Forst am Berg, which merges into the Scheibenbach farm track and follow it to the state road. Here keep right until the turn left into the Hörmannsberg farm track, which you follow up to the chapel on the height. Then the route leads right, first through the forest, then in a long and fast descent, first asphalt, then gravel road, past meadows and fields, until the path enters the next state road in Dörfl. This is crossed, then you go on a field path to the left bank of the Melk and then right to Burmühle. Here you cross the river bridge and immediately turn right again to leisurely follow the bank back to the starting point.
- Getting there Coming from Vienna, take the A1 to the Loosdorf exit, via Sooß to St. Leonhard am Forst, via B29 to Oberndorf an der Melk. Coming from the west, take the A1 to the Ybbs exit, on B25 to Neumühl, via Ofenbach and Schachau on B29, then continue to Oberndorf an der Melk.
