Description
By designing the trail, we want to enhance the Rohrwald excursion destination and hope that many hikers will be able to take away even more impressions and experiences.
On the one hand, the trail offers children an experience in nature, but there are also interesting things for adults to learn. Karli Keiler guides visitors through the stations. There is something to discover at each station.
The 12 stations are dedicated to different themes. Not only are interesting facts about the Rohrwald described, but children can also climb and play. The historical as well as the current use of wood is pointed out. At station 11 "The sweet gold of bees", visitors not only learn interesting facts about bees, but can also observe them at work by opening a flap (May to September). In addition, between stations 4 and 5 is the "Beautiful Column", an 18th century monument erected in gratitude for a riding accident survivor.

- Route description The route begins at the parking lot at Goldenes Bründl and then follows the Rohrbach stream to the second station, the viewing platform. It then continues into the Rohrwald forest, past the “Beautiful Column” to the station “Animals of the Forest.” Via the side path, one reaches – past the bees – the climbing tree, where the blossoms of the forest are also presented.
- Parking The Goldenes Bründl parking lot is available to both visitors of the inn and hikers.
- Getting there Access to the parking lot at Goldenes Bründl (Waldstraße 125, 2105 Oberrohrbach):A22, exit Korneuburg West towards Leobendorf, continue to Oberrohrbach, turn right onto L32 towards Harmannsdorf
- Editor’s tip The nature experience trail is especially ideal for families, as it is easy and also manageable with a stroller. Children can playfully get to know nature.
