Description
Schwarzenbach - Eben - Klein-/Groß Pichl - Ober Windhag - Grohmann - Taschlgraben - Ober Windhag - Unter Windhag - Obertal - Schwarzenbach
- Equipment Clothing appropriate for the seasons and good footwear.
- Route description The hike begins at the former Gamsjäger department store. The path leads over steps, then through the forest into "Eben", past "Klein Pichl" (turn left) and "Groß Pichl" into "Ober Windhag".Those who want to do only the short round now turn left into the forest, passing the "Windhaghäus'l" and the property "Unter Windhag". On Obertal Straße, you return eastwards to the town (walking time: 2 hours).Those who have included Grohmann in their plan turn right at "Ober Windhag" up the forest road. Before the timber yard, turn right up the forest road. Once you reach the upper meadow, the path goes left along the right edge of the pasture up to the trail marker 8/11. Follow this over steep forest sections to the summit cross of Grohmann.From the summit, descend over the Eibecksattel and then turn right into Taschlgraben. Continue on the forest road until it turns right to the marked path 7/1 into the forest back to the pasture where we turned off on the ascent. From there, it is a comfortable walk over the forest road back to Ober Windhag. If you're not tired yet, you can take the steeper direct path to Ober Windhag. From there, turn right and then take the path left into the forest.Return to Schwarzenbach as described above, via the "Windhaghäusl", Unter Windhag and the Obertal back to the starting point in Schwarzenbach.
