Description
The leisure and sports community of Lanzenkirchen is part of the Bucklige Welt - Thermengemeinden region. On the Katzelsdorf-Bad Erlach stage of the "Am Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail)" hiking trail, there are 3 local trails that start in Lanzenkirchen. They invite pleasure hikers to get to know the scenic diversity of the thermal spa communities. One of these 3 local trails starting in Lanzenkirchen is the Ofenbacher Weg Lanzenkirchen-Rosalia. As its name suggests, the 6.2 km long trail leads through the district of Ofenbach from Lanzenkirchen to the ridge of the Rosalia to the Tobiaskreuz. The hike is slightly uphill, but does not require an above-average level of fitness or present any major difficulties. On the contrary: the hike offers the chance for peace and relaxation with the natural forest paths and wonderful panoramic views of Semmering, Rax and the Hohe Wand. If you want to fortify yourself before the tour, there are numerous places to stop for refreshments in Lanzenkirchen and Ofenbach, which also invite you to linger with culinary delights.
