The owl trail leads along a stream into the head of the Windischbachau valley and is an experience for the whole family. Interesting facts about the five owl species found in the Dürrenstein wilderness area - eagle owl, Ural owl, tawny owl, great horned owl and pygmy owl - are presented along the trail at eight stations. The scenic attractions and the structures of the second Vienna High Spring Water Pipeline also make a visit worthwhile. The trail runs partly on an asphalt road, then along a forest road and can also be used by bike.
