We start in the centre of Purgstall at the Erlauf from the washplace. On the Ötscherland cycle route we follow the Erlauf river to Saffen near Scheibbs. Before the hospital we cycle left up to the Heuberg. (Snack station Cornelia Hofmarcher, Scheibbsbach 7, by appointment, 0664-1433 290). After Hochweinberg, it goes with slight up and down inclines past Hochpyhra and the Erb houses. At House Aschlberg, it goes left downhill back to Purgstall.

Car: A1 West Motorway – exit Ybbs – LB25 13 km to Purgstall – Busatisstraße/Washplace

Train: Erlauftalbahn via Pöchlarn to Purgstall station

Bus: Postbus lines 686, 665, Kirchenstraße stop
