Description
Beautiful circular tour from Purgstall via Saffen to Scheibbs and back via Hochweinberg. Moderate gradients on side roads with little traffic and beautiful views over the Erlauftal valley.
- Route description We start in the centre of Purgstall at the Erlauf from the washplace. On the Ötscherland cycle route we follow the Erlauf river to Saffen near Scheibbs. Before the hospital we cycle left up to the Heuberg. (Snack station Cornelia Hofmarcher, Scheibbsbach 7, by appointment, 0664-1433 290). After Hochweinberg, it goes with slight up and down inclines past Hochpyhra and the Erb houses. At House Aschlberg, it goes left downhill back to Purgstall.
