Description
At 11 km, the Panorama Trail is the longest hiking trail in Altmelon and leads you through numerous natural beauties to Großpertenschlag.

Pack your charged mobile phone and map material in your backpack. For cross-border routes please always carry a passport or identity card.
- Equipment Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, map material, if necessary telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snack, muesli bars, fruit, water).
- Route description From the information platform in the town center, you walk on the B119 towards Arbesbach and after about 400 meters turn right towards Perwolfs and follow the markings trail no. 75 and the long-distance trails 605 and 608. You can climb the Schalenstein, where you have a beautiful view over Altmelon. Then it goes past the Schwarze Mauer (rock formation) to the 15th longitude. Here trail no. 75 separates from the long-distance trail. You turn right from the farm road onto a field path and follow the markings to Großpertenschlag (possibility to stop at Gasthaus Huber). From Großpertenschlag, the path leads you to Gaubitzhof, where you can make a short detour to Luaga Lucka. Afterwards, it is about 1.5 kilometers back to the starting point.

- Getting there Coming from St. Pölten or Vienna via Krems to Zwettl on the B 38 to Groß Gerungs and from there to Altmelon, or at the Merzenstein junction onto the B 124 to Altmelon.Coming from the west A1 to Linz, A7 and B 124 to Altmelon.
