The village square in Bad Schönau is the ideal starting point for hikes and walks. This is also where you will find the tourist information office and, thanks to its central location, you can reach the starting point of the tour from various hotels and accommodation providers in Bad Schönau. The walk is also ideal for families with children or less fit hikers due to its low difficulty and short walking time. Initially along the Zöbernbach stream and then a large part of the way through the Tiefenbach floodplain, you are surrounded by nature and accompanied by the babbling of the streams. The path to Tiefenbach is a pleasant, almost flat, shady walk with little traffic. At the end of the path in the village of Krumbach, you can stop off at Gasthof Buchegger, which has a children's playground, home-baked bread and freshly caught trout from its own farm.

Route description From the village square Bad Schönau, start northwards towards the federal road. Turn right towards Kirchschlag onto the street "Am Zöbernbach." It goes briefly along path E8 but continues along the road by the Zöbernbach. Passing the sewage treatment plant, the path leads to a wooden bridge crossing the federal road. Now the low-traffic path "Untertiefenbach" is reached, along which the E6 marking is followed to Tiefenbach to the Buchegger family inn.
Parking There is sufficient parking available at the village square of Bad Schönau.
Getting there From Vienna: Take the South Motorway A2, exit at Krumbach. At exit 76-Krumbach, drive towards Krumbach/Hungary and continue via the Krumbach junction onto B55. Turn right onto Hauptstraße in Bad Schönau. Turn right onto Kurhausstraße.From Graz: Take the South Motorway A2, exit at Aspang-Zöbern. Turn right onto L137. Follow the road. Turn right onto Kirchschlager Str./B55. Turn right onto Hauptstraße in Bad Schönau. Turn right onto Kurhausstraße.
