Marching water! From the Ybbstaler Solebad in Göstling an der Ybbs along the Ybbs to the lido in Hollenstein. A flat tour along the Ybbstal cycle path, perfect for water (bike) rats.
From the tourist office in Göstling, you leave the town through the village and the park right next to the Ybbstaler Solebad. Once you have briefly crossed the road, you are already on the Ybbstal cycle path and follow it downstream. After just four kilometers, you reach Kogelsbach, the first small village with a rest area and playground. Five kilometers further on, just before St. Georgen am Reith, there is a cosy rest area with drinking water in an idyllic location.
The section between St. Georgen and Hollenstein - the second half of the tour - is one of the most beautiful sections of the entire Ybbstal Cycle Path. There is a slight Canadian feeling - right next to the river, surrounded by beautiful green nature and the mountains. It's a good thing that there are always places to swim or rest and play in and around the water.
The last few meters and you reach Hollenstein and can swim in the nostalgic Flussstrandbad, play table tennis and much more.
The return journey is easy with the bike hitchhiker.
Be careful when crossing the federal road right at the beginning of the route.
