From the village center of Rohr im Gebirge, the trail leads via the west loop to Krumbach and back again, before returning via the Furtner loop to the Furtner lifts and via the east loop.
From the main entrance at the parking lot of the Raiffaisenbank in Rohr, we cross a bridge over the Zellenbach to the Zottl district. The trail leads us uphill to the viewing tower at 740m above sea level, which is known for its unmistakable view of the winter landscape. The forest path now leads downhill to Krumbach. Here you turn around and take the same natural path back to Rohr, allowing you to enjoy the idyllic cross-country ski trail on the western loop a second time.
Heading east from the starting point along the Zellenbach stream, you come to the Schirmestal district, where you turn back. Between Sallmanshof and Grieshof, turn into Raingraben, which leads to the Furtner lifts, where you will also find the Furtnerschleife, where you can do a loop before heading back. Once you have left the Raingraben behind you, turn right to get back to Rohr.
From the A2 motorway exit in Wöllersdorf, follow federal road B21 through many small towns like Pernitz and Gutenstein, until you reach Rohr im Gebirge after approximately 40 minutes.
Bus line 340 runs from Pernitz via Gutenstein to Rohr im Gebirge. Line 339 connects Rohr with Orten, Schwarzau im Gebirge, and Pernitz.
