Description

At the entrance to the valley is the former blacksmith's house. It depicts the life of the journeymen blacksmiths and their families. The trail itself leads along the drift system and the Mendlingbach stream through three narrow passages (gorges) over drift paths and bridges past a hermitage that was used to dam up the Mendlingbach stream. Visitors then come across a large spring with a working mill dating back to the last century and hike to the Hammerherrenhaus, where you can stop for a bite to eat and a rest.
