Description
From Gresten via Vorderweg (here you can reach the Mostbrunnen and Hörsessel on foot in approx. 100 m) and Angelsöd into the Lueggraben and up to the Reinsberg castle ruins. Via Buchbergstraße and the goods road to Hochschlag (in approx. 10 minutes you can visit the Sclavinia sculptures by Miguel Horn). Past the Hochschlag hut via Kraxenberg to the barrier and on the Buchbergstraße back to the village of Reinsberg. Through Burggasse and via Hinterbucha and Vorderweg back to Gresten.

- Route description From the i-support point of the municipality Gresten-Land (407 m above sea level) at the Raiffeisenbank through the Lower Market and over Emilien bridge into the Upper Market. Turn left at the electrical shop Schornsteiner into Joisingweg and already slightly ascending on the farm track to the farm Vorderweg (approx. 550 m). Continue level to the wayside shrine just before the house Hinterbucha, turn right through a forested area (still asphalt). Then left down towards Burg lane and then steeply uphill on asphalt again to the castle ruins (approx. 600 m).From the castle ruins, on a gravel path to Buchbergstraße and then right on the farm track to the hiking rest Hochschlag (approx. 820 m). A short section back on the street, then right into a forest path (to Hochschlag hut) and over Kraxenberg to the barrier saddle (approx. 740 m) on Buchbergstraße. Down this into the village Reinsberg. Through Burg lane, then right uphill towards Höhenberg. In a left curve, turn right towards the house Hinterbucha and via Vorderbucha and the gatehouses back to Gresten.
- Getting there Coming from Vienna, take A1 to Ybbs exit, on B25 towards Scheibbs, turn right at Saffen onto B22, continue to Gresten. Coming from the west, take A1 to Amstetten East exit, B1 towards Amstetten, take the fourth exit at the roundabout, pass through Steinakirchen, Wang, Ewixen, and Unteramt on B22, B22 to Gresten.
