Rundwanderweg Kollnitzberg

From St. John’s Chapel, head south past the settlement to the edge of the forest. This is where the ascent begins; pass the wayside shrine, then turn left toward Kollnitzberg (a beautiful viewpoint offering views in all directions). Back at the wayside shrine, continue downhill to the road leading to the sports field. Here you’ll enjoy a beautiful panoramic view—from the Schneeberg to the Alpine foothills. After the sports field, turn left toward the east and, after about 200 m, turn left again onto a forest path—connecting to Circular Hiking Trail 22. Passing “Am Sattel” with its wayside shrine—(view toward Münichreith and Neukirchen)—you’ll follow a gravel path to Münichreith (where you can stop for a bite to eat) and back to the starting point.

A1, Ybbs exit – Persenbeug Danube Bridge – take the B 3 toward Vienna to Marbach an der Donau – turn left here toward Maria Taferl and continue to Münichreith.
