Description
Ornate town houses along the main street and the beautiful town hall square with the castle and the "Cathedral of the Erlauf Valley" bear witness to the prosperity of the Renaissance, Baroque and Biedermeier periods. Along the Old Town Tour, you will not only get to know historic Scheibbs, but also the lifestyle of today: Scheibbs is the district capital with a very lively cultural scene, health and school center. A popular meeting place - and yet pleasantly small, quiet and very personal. The best place to experience the special flair of the town is very close to the water: in the Erlaufhafen harbor, redesigned in 2015, with the town pier as a resting place, boat landing stage and sometimes also a cultural venue.
