Description
The Scheiklhöhe circular trail starts with the other trails 4, 5 and 7 in the market in front of the Raiffeisenbank and then continues along the Unrechttraisen next to the house with assisted living. The path then branches off to Grillenbühel. To the left, we see a very clear stream and then climb steadily uphill. On the right-hand side, we look down into the Unrechttraisen. We soon make it and are rewarded with a wonderful view of the Goller. A little to the left, we can also see the Hofalm and the Gippel. A little further on to the left, we can also see the Schneeberg.
This is not only a wonderful panorama on the panorama trail in winter, but also a hiking highlight in spring, summer and fall. Turn right along the path and at the end turn left into the forest to cross over into the Rotenbach valley. We walk all the way down into the Rotenbachtal valley and then follow the road to the Scheikl farmstead. There we turn left onto the Scheiklhöhe. In spring, a forest of snow lilies awaits us. At the top, a small seating area invites us to rest.
Afterwards we can already see the Wällischgraben with a beautiful farmstead. Now we continue along the road to the Maho-Stüberl (nordicsports business - mahostubn-goldhahn@gmx.at). Here we can stop for a bite to eat and indulge ourselves. The last part to St. Aegyd is covered in a flash and we arrive back at our starting point.
