In Drosendorf, along Austria's only completely preserved town wall, a promenade leads between old walls and fragrant lime trees, inviting you to enjoy a summer retreat.

Summer freshness is a way of life. It is a pinch of vacation in the old days, a large dash of well-being and not bound to any season. The lighting also invites you to take romantic evening walks.

The stations of the Summer Recreation Trail are located along the summer and winter promenade, which runs around the town wall. The former double town fortifications often offered the people of Drosendorf protection. In 1278, it held out against the large army of Bohemian King Ottokar II for over two weeks, was destroyed and then rebuilt. After the outermost fortification was demolished in the 18th century, gardens and a promenade were built along the inner wall. Since then, these promenades have been used for idle summer recreation.
