A popular themed bike route along old railroad tracks in the southern Weinviertel, just outside Vienna.

The "Dampfross und Drahtesel" adventure cycle path leads along the former route of the Landesbahn from Stammersdorf via Pillichsdorf to Deutsch Wagram. Along the route, impressively staged adventure stops tell the story of the railroad. At some of these stops, you can listen to audio books about the experiences of the former steam train. Railroad relics and art objects serve as signposts. Cycle in the footsteps of the "steam horses" in the Weinviertel! Via the region around Wolkersdorf you reach the northern Marchfeld.

A short variant between Pillichsdorf - Kapellerfeld and Vienna is now also signposted and passable.
